10th edition of Rondo 1 Run Up in the European Championships!

On May 21, Warsaw's Rondo 1 office building will once again host the best stair runners from Poland and Europe. Run to the Top Rondo 1 is coming back after a two-year break caused by COVID-19 pandemic, and the competition will have the rank of European Championship. The jubilee, 10th edition of the event will traditionally support SOS Children's Villages in Poland.

38 floors and 142 vertical meters - such a task awaits everyone who decides to face the running route leading through the staircase of the Rondo 1 office building on May 21 this year. In the previous 9 editions of the event there were always more volunteers than available places.

- We can boldly say that Run to the Top Rondo 1 has gained the status of cult event, in which many competitors return every year

- says Piotr Jakóbik, press spokesman of the competition.  - All the more we are glad that after the pandemic turbulences, the runners will once again appear in the hospitable premises of the Rondo 1 office building - he adds.

The image of the most prestigious flight of stairs in Poland has been built for many years, every year hosting the best towerrunning specialists in the world, headed by Piotr Łobodziński - the world champion and multiple winner of Towerrunning World Cup, who started his career on stairs from... the first edition of Race to the Top at Rondo 1.

We can also expect competition at the highest level this year. For the second time in its history, Rondo 1 will host the Towerrunning European Championships, that is the championships of the Old Continent. The previous time the competition had such a rank in 2016.

However, the Run to the Top Rondo 1 is more than just a sports competition. Since the first edition of the event in 2011, it has been supporting the SOS Children's Villages Association in Poland by donating all proceeds from the race fees to the SOS Children's Village in Kraśnik. This year the funds raised will be all the more necessary because a large group of children and their guardians from Ukraine have visited Kraśnik in recent weeks. Rondo 1 complex is involved in a number of activities to support foundations and associations. This year's edition is also a time of close cooperation with the tenants of the complex, thanks to which the aid for the Ukrainian people will be targeted, providing the most essential elements. To actively support SOS Children's Villages, Rondo 1 will donate additional money to support the youngest wards of the association.
